This information will be taken from you at the time that you make contact with us, either by making a purchase through our online store, filling out one of the contact forms on our websites, or booking in a job at the workshop in person, by telephone or by Email / messaging.

5. How we handle your data

We use this information for the following reasons:

i) It is Necessary to allow processing of orders you make through our e commerce platform (Contractual Obligation)

ii) Necessary to Improve our products and services by responding to Emails received. (Legitimate Interest)

iii) For workshop repairs, servicing & fabrications it is necessary in order to carry out the work requested (contractual Obligation)

iiii) It is necessary to transfer your Data to the couriers in order to deliver your purchases from our e commerce store, This forms part of our contractual obligation in order to complete this transaction.

iiiii) We will contact you by email following completion of work or the supply of a product to request a review.

Order processing takes the form of printing the order sheet, entering your details onto our accounts system and producing an invoice for your order, a copy of which is kept for our records, order sheets and invoice copies are kept for 7 years to comply with hmrc.

5a. From May 2018 we have to comply with the General Data Protection Rules, part of which means we have to name who is responsible for data protection and who is able to process Data.

Our Data Controller is Paul Sharman (proprietor of the business) and our data processors are Fasthosts (web hosting), EKM Systems (e commerce), Etsy (e commerce), paypal (payment gateway), worldpay (payment gateway), hermes (courier) & uk mail (courier).

You may request any personal data we hold about you to be deleted at any time although invoice copies and order sheets will be retained in accordance with hmrc guidelines.

6. We are committed to ensuring that the data you provide is handled securely and have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial processes to safeguard your information.

In the unlikely event of a data breach we will contact all customers affected within 72 hours of becoming aware of any breach and also report the breach to the information commissioners office within the 72 hours guideline.

EKM Systems (our e commerce platform) use traffic log cookies to identify which pages are being used on our site and analyse visitor behaviour through statistics, no personal data is recorded by us.
